What is Malyuy!?

Malyuy! is a coloring app for iPad and iPhone made for toddlers and preschoolers aged 2 to 5. The whole app works with icons instead of text, so a child who can't read yet can open it, pick a picture and paint it alone. It has 95 hand-drawn pictures in 9 themes, plus blank paper for free drawing. There are no ads, it collects no data, and it works without internet. It's free to download, and you unlock more pictures with a one-time purchase, never a subscription.

Made for how toddlers really draw

Big, forgiving tools and nothing to read. Careful strokes and whole-page scribbles both turn into a picture they're proud of.

  • A duck and duckling painted on a blue pond

    No reading needed

Every button is a picture. There are no menus or words, so children as young as 2 find their way on their own.

  • A bird filled with blue and pink in one tap each

    One tap fills a shape

The fill tool colors a whole area at once, so even a first tap makes something beautiful.

  • An elephant under a soft watercolor sky

    Soft watercolor paint

Paint spreads a little as it settles, like real watercolor on paper. A bright marker is there too.

  • A laughing dinosaur painted with Apple Pencil

    Apple Pencil on iPad

Apple Pencil works with pressure, so a first pencil drawing already feels like a real one.

  • An empty sheet of watercolor paper ready for drawing

    Blank paper for free drawing

When they'd rather draw their own thing, there's a stack of empty watercolor paper.

  • A sleepy dinosaur painted under a night sky

    Calm, from start to finish

Soft colors, gentle music made for the app, and nothing that flashes, nags or asks them to stop.

95 pictures to color, in 9 themes

Thick, simple line art drawn for small hands, from farm animals to dinosaurs. New pictures are added over time, included in what you've already unlocked.

The sticker for Magic Dots' first set: a ladybug on a leaf whose spots are dots of paint
Coming in the next update

Magic Dots, our first game: color by dot

Every space in a picture has a little dot of the paint it wants. Your child picks that paint and taps the space: the watercolor floods up to the line and the dot melts away. When the last dot is gone, the picture comes alive.

  • A wrong paint costs nothing: the dot simply waits for the right one
  • Finished pictures hang on a clothesline, and every five earn a sticker
  • No reading, no timer, no score, no lives
  • The first set is free, and every theme you unlock brings its own

Magic Dots is the first of our games, and more will follow. With the update, Malyuy! opens on a choice of two: “Let's paint!” or “Let's play!”

For parents: safe, quiet, honest

Malyuy! is made by a small independent team, and it works the way we'd want any app for a two-year-old to work.

  • No ads, no tracking

No ads of any kind. No analytics, no tracking, no account. Drawings stay on your device.

  • A gate in front of the shop

Purchases sit behind a grown-up math question, so little fingers can't buy anything by accident.

  • Works offline

No Wi-Fi needed, so it's ready for car rides, flights and waiting rooms.

  • Music that winds down

Gentle tracks with quiet gaps between them, fading out on their own after half an hour. One button pauses it.

  • Every picture is kept

Each page saves your child's painting as they go, so they can come back to it. Finished pictures save to Photos.

  • Pay once, keep it

No subscription and no renewals. Purchases are shared with your family through Family Sharing.

Try it free, then unlock what you like

Malyuy! is free to download. There are no subscriptions, no trials that turn into payments, and no ads to pay off.

  • Free sample

2 pictures from each of 4 themes to try with your child before you decide.

  • One theme

Unlock a single theme your child loves, like dinosaurs or the farm. It also opens the blank paper.

  • Everything

Every theme and every picture we add later, with one purchase. Owners of a theme get it for less.

Prices are shown in the App Store in your local currency. Purchases are one-time and can be restored on any of your devices.

Questions parents ask

What is the best coloring app for a 2-year-old?

Look for an app a 2-year-old can use without reading, with big tools, no ads and nothing that pressures them. Malyuy! was built for exactly that: icons only, one-tap fill, soft watercolor paint, no ads and no data collection, on iPad and iPhone.

What age is Malyuy! for?

Toddlers and preschoolers aged 2 to 5. Older children enjoy it too, but the pictures and tools are sized for little hands.

Is Malyuy! free?

It's free to download and includes 2 free pictures from each of 4 themes. You can unlock one theme or everything with a one-time in-app purchase. There's no subscription.

Does Malyuy! have ads?

No. There are no ads of any kind, no analytics and no tracking. The app collects no data at all.

Does it work without Wi-Fi?

Yes. Malyuy! works fully offline, so it's good for car trips, flights and anywhere without internet.

Is Malyuy! a coloring game?

It's a calm coloring and painting app that plays like a gentle game: pick a picture, choose colors, paint. There are no scores, timers or levels, so there's nothing to lose and no reason to rush.

Does Malyuy! have games?

Yes, from the next update. The first game is Magic Dots, color by dot: each space shows a dot of the paint it wants, and the dot melts when your child matches it. There's no reading, no timer, no score and no lives. More games will follow, made the same calm way.

Which devices does it run on?

iPad and iPhone with iPadOS or iOS 18.0 or later. On iPad, Apple Pencil works with pressure. Malyuy! is not available on Android.

Can my child save their drawings?

Yes. Every picture keeps your child's painting automatically, so they can come back to it, and finished pictures can be saved to Photos.

Can my child buy something by accident?

No. The shop is behind a parental gate: a grown-up has to solve a math question first, and Apple then asks for confirmation.

Which languages does Malyuy! support?

The child's side has no words, so it works in any language. Everything for grown-ups is translated into 16 languages: English, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Spanish (Spain and Latin America), Swedish, Turkish and Ukrainian.
